Micro Direct Drive Motor and Melservo J5

Connection Example, Mitsubishi MELSERVO-J5 and μDD Motor

μDD Motors can be connected via CC-Link IE TSN or SSCNET III/H.

Upgrade to a hollow-shaft design while keeping your existing system. Achieve a more compact, lighter, and higher-accuracy axis.

Please use the connector cables listed in the table below for the connection.

*Microtech Laboratory does not sell or supply Mitsubishi servo amplifiers.

Setup Steps

1) Download the motor definition file (mmd2) from MTL’s website.
The download page is here.

2) Use Mitsubishi Electric software “OptionTools” to write the mmd2 file to the amplifier.

3) Use MR Configurator2 to set parameters.
PL08: 0114, “Micro position detection”
PL09: 5 and up, adjust based on the magnetic pole detection result
PL25: Encoder counts per revolution (after x4 multiplication)

4) Run a test operation and tune as needed.
